BHP Billiton accused of dirty tricks over bidding by Potash CorpThe Canadian fertilizer producer Potash Corp has accused the Australian mining giant BHP Billiton of doing dirty tricks in the hostile takeover bid. After the Potash accused the BHP Billiton the controversial takeover bid turned out to be much nastier.

The commercial director of Potash Corp, Stephen Dowdle wrote a letter to the customers saying that the BHP Billiton was trying to raise doubts on the ability of the Potash Corp of conducting business.

After this dispute the takeover deals seems to be going nowhere as the Potash Corp is not satisfied with the Australian mining giant.

The director of potash marketing for BHP Billiton, Chris Ryder tried his best to convince the Potash Corp officials but refused to give further details about the deal.

Potash Corp had rejected a takeover offer of 39 billion dollars or 130 dollars per share from Kloppers and then received the bid offer from BHP Billiton.

This deal would be the largest take over deal in the Canadian business history if it completes successfully but now the deal is under process and seems to be going in to worst condition.
