In an attempt to give the gamers a peak at the forthcoming title “Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions” - which is scheduled for a September 7 launch on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, and Nintendo DS -, Activision has released a trailer of the game.
The new Spider-Man game, which has been developed by Beenox, was unveiled, in action, at this year’s E3 show.
“Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions” revolves around a magic tablet which has been split across four similar but alternate realities, each of which has its own gameplay and style; and the villains from each of the realities has a fragment. This is much to the chagrin of Madame Spider, who summons the four Spider-Men of each reality to mend the chaos.
The four unique versions that players can play include: the traditional Amazing Spider-Man version that chiefly uses a combination of acrobatic moves as well as web attacks; the Spidey from the Spider-Man Noir universe, which puts Spidey in a re-imagined New York of the 1930s; Spider-Man 2099, which is a futuristic take on Spidey with a sci-fi feel; and the version featuring Spidey from the Ultimate universe, wearing a symbiote suit.
Disclosing certain facts of the forthcoming game, Beeox’s producer Stephane Gravel said that only 11 of the 13 villains in the game have been revealed; and one of the unrevealed two is a totally new version of a well-known armed and dangerous Spider-Man villain.
