With retired scientists serving in functioning space shuttles taking up the role of educators, the takeoff pad that was used by the cosmonauts from the U. S. to move into the trajectory surrounding the earth is being contemplated as a classroom for the engineering students of the next generation who aspire to become creators of rockets and other space shuttles in the future.
This thought was perceived by Jennifer Scheer, who will very soon witness the successful completion of her career as a NASA’s orbiters servicer for eight long years, has been named Project Mercury Rising.
She has comprehended this idea with the intention of providing students of the new generation with first-hand understanding of operating a model of the Mercury- atlas spaceship.
For this she has suggested the renovation of the takeoff pad Complex14 at the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station situated in Florida keeping in mind dual motive of renewing the launch pad and enlightening and motivating the apprentices after the space travel program has ended.
