At the Internationale Funkaustellung (IFA) trade show to be held in Berlin from September 3 to September 8, Panasonic Corporation will take a go at ultimate entertainment, with the unveiling of its electrifying range of industry-leading 2D and 3D products.
Panasonic, which is virtually the innovation pioneer in 3D technology and has aptly coined this year’s IFA theme as “3D your world,” apparently has a number of spectacular highlights up its sleeve at its booth 101 in hall 5.2 a/b. According to the company, IFA attendees will also be able to watch the US Open in 3D at its booth.
While Panasonic already offers a fully integrated end-to-end solution suite for the 3D world, the company will use the IFA exhibition platform to further broaden its 3D offerings with the unveiling of its HDC-SDT-750 3D video camera – the world’s first consumer 3D camcorder that enables consumers to shoot their own 3D content!
The new Panasonic SDT750 will feature a detachable lens that will facilitate the shooting of content in 3D. Once the lens is removed, the camera will be able to record in ordinary 2D using its standard lens. The camera, which a Macworld report says will be priced at US$1,400, will likely hit the market in October.
Noting that additional 3D movies on Blu-ray will help, Panasonic said that, by this year’s holiday shopping season, it will be able to bundle its products with the biggest of all 3D movies, James Cameron’s “Avatar.”
