Maruti tops JD Power study

Maruti tops JD Power study While the market leader in the Indian passenger car market may have been suffering from the high competition but that by no means indicate that the company has gone down in its approach of handling the Indian consumer.

According to the India Sales Satisfaction Index released by the market research firm JD Power, Maruti Suzuki has emerged on the top of the list of the Index while the largest home-grown auto major, Tata Motors stood at the bottom of the list.

It is to be mentioned here that Maruti Suzuki topped the list with 819 points on a 1,000-point scale and it followed by companies like Honda and Skoda respectively. JD Power Asia-Pacific Executive Director Mohit Arora said that the high satisfaction level in the consumers of Maruti has come from the high enthusiasm of the employees at its dealerships and the knowledgeable answers that they give to the queries of the consumers. However, on the other end, the rising competition in the small car segment has been giving a tough ride to the company in the Indian market. Products like Figo, Beat, Polo et al have been a main reason why Maruti has a market share below the 50% mark as of today.
