Manufacturers of mobile phone are looking forward for the release of Windows Phone 7 which is to be launched by Microsoft later this year.

Microsoft has started shipping the software of Windows 7 to the manufacturers and mobile phone networks.

Microsoft declared that Windows 7 is in the 'release to manufacturing' (RTM) stage, which means that Microsoft is allowing its partners to add their own twists and settings in the Windows 7 operating system.

Yesterday only a post was published on Windows Phone blog by Terry Myerson, corporate vice president of Windows Phone engineering at Microsoft, that the internal engineering team has "largely completed "their work.

As per Mr. Myerson, this is the first time that company has carried such a complex testing on the Windows Phone 7 operating system, with almost 10,000 devices running programmed test every day.

Earlier, Windows Phone 7 was criticized for its clumsy integration of contacts with its social address book like telephone numbers becoming jumbled with Facebook updates.

In order to solve this issue, Windows Phone 7 has offered a new platform, in which people will be allowed to create wall posts and 'like' links and post status updates to their friend's profiles through the phone's "People Hub".

Windows Phone 7 is a blend of both social networking and connectivity features which are present in Google Android operating system and Apple's IOS platform. Another unique feature of Windows Phone 7 is Microsoft popular Xbox Live service which enables users to amalgamate their online gaming portals with their mobile device.
