Campbell Soup Co. has reported its fourth quarter financial results and it has said that it has posted a reasonable net profit rise in the reviewed quarter. The company has informed that though summer has been a profitable season for the company.

June and July every year used to be the most successful months for the company in terms of sales and revenue. The company has informed that it has posted a huge hike in net profit in the fourth quarter of 2009-10 due to cost-cutting and strong drink sales. The sales record of the firm is equally impressive.

The net income of the firm was recorded $113 million or 33 cents per share in the final quarter of the year. The company has seen a hike of 63% in its net income in this quarter under review against its corresponding quarter in the previous financial year.

However, there has been a marginal decline in the sales which has been recorded at $1.52 billion for the quarter against $1.53 billion of its like period a year ago.
