The upgraded version of 40nm Radeon HD 5000 GPUs will soon be proclaimed by the end of the month.
AMD supposedly will release the latest heir of Radeon HD 5000 graphics cards which would be named as HD 6000 series.
Reports of Fudzilla claim that AMD will release the latest offering of HD 5000 GPUs. This means the updated version of graphic cards offers branding which is claimed as Southern Island cores.
AMD Radeon HD 6000 series graphics cards are based on 40nm fabrication process and offers HD 5000 series like architecture. It was further stated that the graphic cards will be released with upgraded frequencies and memory.
The first model to feature is Radeon HD 6700 GPU that offers two GPUs codenamed as Barts XT and Barts Pro. The group is an upper model of present HD 5770 and HD 5750 GPUs from the HD 5700 series.
Chinese website Chiphell's posted the snaps of latest AMD Radeon GPU's image and was deemed it to be the next generation Cayman XT graphics card offered by HD 6000 series.
The Cayman XT graphics card offers support for twin mini-DisplayPort connectors, HDMI port and two dual-link DVI-I connectors.
