Dell seemingly is on uphill rising from last year’s third place to reclaim its second behind HP, as reported by iSuppli.
Last year it was HP, Acer which was followed by Dell that secured its place in the PC manufacturing market.
It was further stated that the PC shipments grew over to 82 million in this quarter, with Dell occupying a 12.8 percent share, spearheading Acer by 12.4 per cent. HP stood tall with 18 percent market share.
It was further added that despite the actual sales, all three of the top PC makers saw a decline in sales.
Lenovo reported an 18.6 percent jump in sales, which took over 10.1 percent of the market.
Acer and HP reported a great fall, with sales dipping to 6.2 and 6.3 percent, respectively, from the quarter preceding this one. HP has sustained its position for the past sixteen quarters in first place.
