Microsoft has officially stated that date of release of its first Windows Phone 7-based device on 11 October.
Sources associated with the matter, states that the Windows Phone 7 smartphone will be released on 11 October at a special event conducted in NY, reports tech news site Pocket-Lint.
The same sources claim that soon after the scheduled release, the phone will be one shelves by the need of the month.
The Windows Phone 7 OS was initially proclaimed by Microsoft whilst the Mobile World Congress in 2010, will be comprised with Microsoft's Xbox 360 games console and Zune music management platform.
The proclamation is based on the official release of the first online advert for the Windows Phone 7 platform, which was broadcasted at an event of Lawrence of Arabia.
Microsoft in the process of release has named Asus, Dell, HTC, LG, and Samsung as hardware partners for the Windows Phone 7 platform.
