Downgrading of policies concerns Southern Cross Medical Society

Ian-McPherson-SCMSThe downgrading of policies by the members has set Southern Cross Medical Society into a worry. According to the views of the society the cover level is reducing now a day by more than a 3% of the members in the society.

The decrement is about 33%, which is more in comparison to previous year and it is believed that members above 65 years of age are taking active participation in downgrading the policy of the society to reduce the cost of the premium.

This inappropriate action of the members may urge the government to impose premium tax rebate over the senior citizen who are over 65 years of age and may restricts the tax benefits on the employer.

Chief executive Ian McPherson said that with the passage of year, government along with the fundraisers of health care is facing lot of issues regarding the rise in cost of health care all over the world.

The Southern Cross Medical Society will now make use of the Affiliated Provider plan, which will provide the service at a fixed prize by the healthcare members.
