North Shore Hospital has requested the patients to lodge their complaints regarding the quality of care in the hospital itself, instead of going to Herald.
The hospital authority has assured that all the complaints will be investigated and proper action will be taken.
Dave Davies, who is the Chief Executive of Waitemata District Health Board, said that if people will not tell the hospital officials or board about their grievances, then it will not be possible for the hospital officials to correct the mistakes.
Patients usually take their complaints regarding the treatment at the hospital to the Herald, because many think that it is of no use to make a formal complaint to the hospital or board.
This issue has occurred when many patients mentioned about the bad treatment care that they received in the hospital.
For example, Kay Chand came to the North Shore Hospital in the month of June to get a treatment for allergy. She told the nurses that she was feeling dizzy and asked for help. But the nurses didn’t support her while giving an injection. She fell down and as a result suffered from a broken neck.
Mrs. Chand and her family was too upset and said that her stay in the hospital was ‘horrible’.
