As per a recently released international survey of economic freedom, New Zealand continues to stay on its position when it comes to business.
However, for experts like the executive director of Business Roundtable, Roger Kerr the rating is going down continuously. This has happened majorly because the size of the government has grown too large during this period.
It has down 'poorly' when it comes to the area of regulations related to hiring and firing.
On top of the list is Hong Kong which is followed by Singapore. On the last come countries like Zimbabwe, Myanmar, Angola and Venezuela. US stood at number 6 and was followed by Canada and Australia.
The survey which was done by Fraser Institute in Canada took into consideration 80 countries. It took five parameters- size of government, legal structure and security of property rights, access to sound money, freedom to trade internationally and the regulation of credit, labor and businesses.
The report also said that the top ranking countries see a very high standard of living and high rate of personal freedom the ones at the bottom very totally opposite.
