People from all walks of society have shown their resentment against the genetically altered salmon. The salmon though has not yet come out in the market, but it would be up for a vote of approval by the Food and Drug Administration in the near future.

Darrel Rogers, an activist with the Alliance for Natural Health expressed that there was not a specific way that science can predict the affect of the genetic salmon on human beings over an extended period of time. He felt that the provision of the genetically modified salmon for human consumption was dangerous and also could result fatal for the health of humans.

The statement regarding the salmons was made by Mr. Rogers at a meeting being held by the FDA on Monday. If the proposal by the foods Company, AquaBounty is approved by the FDA, it would lead the food market in America to a completely different dimension.

The genetically modified salmon has been proposed, to be produced in a very different manner. The Company intends to nurture the modified eggs in an incubator in Prince Edward Island, Canada and after the incubation period, they plan to transfer the eggs to Panama. The eggs in Panama would be raised and within a span of 18months would be ready to be shipped in the market for sale.
