A Dominion Post poll unveils that the Incumbent Kerry Prendergast is leading to clinch the mayoralty of Wellington with just seven days to spare for the vote. But the rival, city councilor of Wellington, Celia Wade-brown is growing as a desired candidate for the post in recent days and one in four voters say they have yet to decide which candidate to vote for.
Most of the experts considered Ms Prendergast as the highly knocking candidate for the mayoral post but they also said the post is still wide open for all and anything can happen at the last time of the election as there are many more deserving candidates for the same post.
A last minute swing by the voters can determine the result of the poll. Almost 25420 voters have voted for their candidates by yesterday but 110,136 voters have yet to cast their vote and the deadline of the voting is midday of next Saturday.
The Dominion Post readers’ poll was carried out in five days and completed on Monday of this week. There are so many speculations going on over the issue in the country.
