A run in sales of four-wheel makes boosted revenue of motor vehicles to a new evidence for September with the national automotive body advancing its annual estimate to more than one million units.
The Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) held today that in September the sale of passenger cars, special utility vehicles and commercial vehicles were 85,054 units, up 8.9 per cent (or 6923 vehicles) on the equivalent month in 2009.
Andrew McKellar, FCAI chief executive whispered that throughout September the number of units sold was a new resistant for the month.
In 2005 the preceding monthly record for September was 84,470.
Mr. McKellar said it was encouraging to see that this month recorded the largest increase sales to private buyers. It increased up 14.2 per cent which is additional evidence of rehabilitated confidence in the marketplace.
The Australian market has only twice verified a market with more than 1 million sales so this would be reasonably an achievement.
