The Sundance Resources has appointed a new chief executive to complete its reconstruction of its board and management s a plane crashed in the Republic of Congo earlier in this year.
The Perth based Australian company appointed Mr. Giulio Casello as its new managing director and chief executive and he has worked as the senior executive of the Sinosteel Midwest in the past.
Mr. Casello will take his responsibility at the company in the next month as the replacement of Don Lewis. Mr. Lewis was also killed with six other executives of the company in the plane crash in the Avima Range in the month of June.
The acting chief executive of Sundance, Peter Canterbury will resume his role of chief financial officer of the company after the new chief executive Mr. Casello takes his responsibility in next month.
Mr. Casello was the chief operating officer at the iron ore producer Sinosteel Midwest recently and he also held at the senior positions at the Alco World Alumina in the US and Australia in between 1986 and 2005. The company is hoping a lot from its new chief executive.
