After recording slight improvements for weeks now, Fairfax Media Ltd., has predicted a small but significant growth in the advertising revenue for the second half of the 2010 fiscal year. As confirmed by Chief Executive of Fairfax Brain McCarthy, advertising revenues are now "coming back in all segments".
"In the second half of 2010, we anticipate improved business conditions to deliver modest earnings growth compared with the same period last year", shared McCarthy at the company's Annual General Meeting in Sydney.
McCarthy asserted that while the revenue as such is still below the figures recorded for last year, it is the advertising trends that have seen a definite improvement, signifying that the revenues are set to surge real soon as well.
"There are signs of increased confidence among our advertisers, which has been very pleasing", McCarthy said.
