On Monday evening, Walmart declared that iPad will be available in all its major stores from Friday, Oct. 15, and ultimately 2,300 stores will have the iPad by the month of November.
The Company made this announcement in the wake of the rumors that Arkansas-based big retailer, Bentonville would start the selling of Apple's iPad from this week.
TUAW reported that iPad is already available in the market in some stores of Walmart along with Apple's iPods ahead of Friday's official launch.
After the launch, the iPads can also be ordered online through Walmart. com website, but the customers will have to come to the store to collect the product. There will be no home delivery system.
Retailers are hopeful that this season, the earnings would be good with the sale of the iPads.
It is expected that the sales of the tablet will be significantly high because of the availability of the product in major retail stores like Walmart, Target, and Best Buy.
Target started the selling of the iPad from Oct. 3, whereas Best Buy began sales of the iPad in all its stores in the United States from Sept. 26.
Analysts are hopeful that this year, Apple will sell 11 million to 12 million iPads, more than the estimated amount.
