Google is offering free Wi-Fi at 47 of nation’s airports which is starting today and will run till January 15.
During this season, travellers seem to spend more time on the airport ground than on plane and Google has aptly recognized this time to offer them free Wi-Fi.
The list includes the international airports in Miami and Orlando as well as five others in Florida and travellers would also benefit at smaller airports like Montana's Billings and Bozeman.
"This is one of our holiday gifts to our users, and when you connect, we also hope you'll take the opportunity to try some of the latest Google products", said Google.
Once you log on to the internet, you will be asked to set Google as home page or try Google Chrome browser. The users will also have an option to make a donation to three non-profit groups namely Engineers without Borders, the One Economy Corporation or the Climate Savers Computing Initiative. Google will match donations of up to $250,000 per airport.
Apart from other free Wi-Fi deals by Google, it also offers free access to Google’s Inflight Internet for the airline customers in partnership with Virgin America.
While Google's offer will end on January 15, similar free deals are currently being offered by Yahoo, Microsoft and JiWire.
