Jetstar joins hands with American Airlines

Jetstar joins hands with American AirlinesThe renowned name in the airline industry, Jetstar has recently teamed up with the airline giant American Airlines. Under the partnership between the duo, it will focus on codesharing on the domestic New Zealand flights.

It is to be mentioned here that American Airlines, which is the second largest airline in the world in terms of the passenger miles and revenue already has a codesharing agreement with the parent company of Jetstar, Qantas.

While the agreement with Qantas is on daily flights between Auckland and Los Angeles, it is expected that the recently struck deal will take the relationship among the two on new heights.

Jetstar Group chief executive Bruce Buchanan said as the deal offered American Airlines with better access to the cheaper domestic fares to move around New Zealand, it made a lot of sense for both the companies to come together.

It may be noted here that the agreement between the two is still subject to regulatory approval. Buchanan also mentioned here that it is surely one of the great ways to push the operations of the company that it is already doing in New Zealand.
