A luxury hotel which is also a boutique and is made for the backpackers has won top awards during the annual national tourism industry awards. The hotel is situated in Wellington.
Known as The Bolton Hotel in central Wellington, the hotel got the Westpac Hotel Award. This happened during a gala event that took place in Auckland.
Along with Bolton, YHA Wellington City took the Backpacker Award and Christchurch Casino won the Air New Zealand Supreme Award.
While talking Bolton, the judges during the event said that it was good as a hotel and has managed to reach where it is now through independent thoughts and industry leadership.
The management of the hotel has agreed to this and say that they have always made the hotel compelling for the guests so that they are happy and keep coming back again and again.
There are, claimed the management, 250 features in the hotel that make it unique. These range from water management to recycling of clothes and batteries and also switching off the lights on ticks.
