Zahra Baker Still Missing: Search on in Landfills

Search on in LandfillsInvestigators of the disappearance of 10-year-old girl Zahra Baker are search for traces of her body in landfill sites of Hickory.

The search, conducted by the FBI and members of the US Marshalls Service, are aiming to find out the truth about what happened to the girl that is missing since October 9.

Zahra Baker, blind and missing one leg after a severe childhood cancer disease, was homeschooled and lived with her father Adam Baker and her stepmother Elisa Baker.

After accusations of child abuse and domestic violence in the Baker family on side of relatives and neighbors, the police densely searches for evidence in Zahra’s relative circle.

Stepmother Elisa Baker is the main suspect after she faked a ransom note for Zahra that amounted to $1 million. She has already been sued for hampering the investigations.

Adam Barker also represents an investigation subject of suspicion as he made contradictory remarks on the girl’s disappearance in front of the press.  He is further accused of having set a fire at the family’s home before his daughter was reported missing. Recordings of several 911 calls support the mystery around Zahra’s dad.

The police are still appealing on the public for any useful information. Nevertheless, chances that the girl will be found alive are regarded as very low.
