Air NZ wants day in court over price-fixingIn New York Air New Zealand is approaching for its day in court over price-fixing accusations after the US Department of Justice offer to hold up actions.

The air cargo business of airline is the matter of investigations or proceedings in New Zealand, Australia, the US, and the European Union. It is annoying to block a tender from America's Justice Department to seize up depositions for a further five months.

The company said that Air New Zealand is contrasting the application of department in inspection of the four years. The department has previously spent investigating and the right of the airline defendants in the social action to improve their defense.

According to a Bloomberg report, Air NZ is the latest airline to be named in the case of American regulator. It has escorted to US$1.6 billion in fines and illegal charges against 18 airlines and eight executives.

In November 2007 Qantas appealed guilty by paying a US$61 million fine for its character in the suspected conspiracy. The airline's name collected up in court documents filed in Brooklyn, New York.
