China's economy slows in Q3, but remains strongOn Thursday China said that its economy posted slower but still strong growth in the third quarter, which forecasters said that moves to control soaring property prices and bank lending had not been too callous.

According to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) data, gross domestic product stretched by 9.6 percent year-on-year in the third quarter, striking analyst estimates for 9.5 percent growth.

The figure manifested a turn down from the 10.3 percent growth in the second quarter and the blazing 11.9 percent in the first three months since Beijing started to take out stimulus actions which were introduced to conflict the global crisis.

NBS spokesman Sheng Laiyun told a press conference that the overall economy ruins crash, and the momentum of monetary recovery is further secured.
