The state's treasurer utters that two new Queensland gas projects would be a huge boost for the country if they gain federal government support on Friday.
On Friday afternoon Federal Environment Minister, Tony Burke is as a result of announcing whether the two projects - worth $30 billion - will be permitted.
Santos is looking for environmental endorsement for its Gladstone liquefied natural gas (LNG) project where as British Gas is waiting on a judgment on its Curtis LNG project, also in central Queensland.
Their main aspire is to produce a combined 15.7 million tonnes per annum of LNG, comparable with almost 90 per cent of current Australian LNG exports.
Both the state government and the state opposition has given its approval and also supportive to it.
On Friday morning Queensland Treasurer Andrew Fraser told ABC Radio that they believe that this is an essential export chance for the nation on behalf of a whole new industry, thousands of jobs and cleaner energies.
So it hopes that this afternoon the approval is to be permitted. He said he sought after to see proper environmental safeguards.
