Flu Clinics Arrive in and Around AlbertaAlberta has received large shipments of this year’s vaccinations for influenza. Clinics all over the province are receiving their share, and officials are encouraging all Albertans to get immunized soon.

Nearby, flu shot clinics have been put up throughout the Deh Cho region this week, with five communities in the region hosting clinics. The first was held in Nahanni Butte on Wednesday, October 20. A clinic will be held in Wrigley from October 25-27. Flu shots are also going to be made available in Jean Marie River, Fort Simpson and Trout Lake, all in early November.

Other clinics are being established at Christ United Lutheran Church. The Montgomery County Health Department has announced that it will sponsor the second of four flu shot clinics in its region.

The vaccinations are priced at $22 for a half dose flu shot, for those aged between 6 and 24 months, $26 for a full shot, $35 for FluMist, which can only be given to healthy individuals aged 2-49, and $64 for a pneumonia shot, for those aged 9 and up.
