Qantas Rolls Out Apple-Equipped Lounges All Over Australia

Qantas Rolls Out Apple-Equipped Lounges All Over AustraliaQantas Airways Ltd. has announced plans to strengthen its ties with Apple Inc. This will see a wide range of Apple technology installed in various Qantas environments.

One of the collaborative developments is the installation of the latest Apple Mac computers in its airport lounges in Australia. From November, the cities where this will be taking place are: Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Perth. Alice Springs, Cairns, Darwin, Hobart and Townsville will be Apple-equipped from December onwards. Sydney’s Qantas Lounge will have Apple technology in place from today onwards.

Further collaboration comes in the form of a Qantas Frequent Flyer iPhone application, which will allow frequent flyers to keep track of their points, register where they earned then and discover how they might use them. The application will harness the assisted GPS features of the phone to locate Qantas Frequent Flyer partners. In addition, users will be able to update friends and family on their Frequent Flyer milestones through their Twitter or Facebook accounts, both of which already have iPhone applications.

The iPad media tablet will soon be available to passengers on Qantas’ Jetstar flights.

The American corporation continues to keep its eyes open for new opportunities to collaborate with corporate customers.
