Online retailing giant, Amazon. com has come out with a brand new app for iPad. The specialty of it is that it provides access to all areas of its Website via an interface that optimizes the functioning of Apple tablet devices.
The Seattle-based company has named the app, Windowshop. It will allow the users to browse and buy products on Amazon just the way they do on a regular site.
But the layout of the whole thing has been designed specifically for the iPad users. It supports grid view that has horizontal scrolling. The vertical browsing is also provided for. The items that are present in pop ups are zoomable, high resolution pics of products and additional details, are just a click away for the customers.
In addition to all this, Winowshop also allows the users to add items in the Amazon wish lists. These items can then be accessed and used through the apps.
For the apps to run the basic requirements are iPad running iOS 3.2 or higher. As of now, it is available for free and will become chargeable later on.
