According to major announcement made by Freightways, the first quarter revenue of the company has filed a rise of close to 4 per cent as compared to the year ago levels standing at $NZ85 million ($A65.38 million). It is to be mentioned here that the company said that the numbers are result of the strong growth that it got from its information management division.
As it was initially anticipated by many industry experts, the company said that the core express package and business mail division saw slow pace of economic recovery and hence the company is still cautious over the outlook for the division.
For the record, the Overall earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and goodwill amortisation for the company stood at up 2 per cent at a level of $15.4 million from a year earlier.
But the new profit of the company plummeted by 4% standing at $4.7 million which was riding on the back of factors like high cost of bank margins. The information management division of the company stood tall, with an operating growth of close to 26%.
