Doctors will now be able to diagnose more accurate by instant scans

scanners availableIn a new declaration it was told that brand new state of the art scanners available at a unique 20 million pounds facility located at Edinburgh can now help doctors in improving the diagnosis and treatment of illnesses.

The scanners will also aid doctors in examining the causes and spread of diseases and diagnose their effect on the body. The Clinical Research Imaging Centre will soon be inaugurated by The Duke of Edinburgh which is going to be the first of its kind in the country.

The University of Edinburgh and NHS Lothian have together collaborated the centre. It is made on the idea of the Medical Research Insititute of the University in the Little France region of Edinburgh.

The investigators will be able to better understand by these new scanners without using any invasive procedures which helps in decreasing the neeed for biopsies or angiograms where catheters are used to detect danage in organs and vessels.

The usage of this imaging equipment to scan certain organs in less than a second and to see in great detail about their functioning.
