As per the analysis of a leading charity almost half of the elderly population of the UK is feeling fearful of the colder weather this winter season and the fuel poverty issues of the nation are also much worse as compared to figures released recently.
The claims of the charity may lead to some inspiration in the elderly residents of the country to seek equity release advice just to make sure that their property value could increase their spending capacity and reduce the energy bills.
Another findings as per a research by Age UK claimed that the number of households in fuel poverty is much more than what was shown in recent reports numbered at 1.7 million.
As per the charity older people took some extreme steps last year to make sure that their fuel expenditure is reduced which included wearing coats and other warm clothing while staying indoors, lying in bed the whole day or even going to the public library and staying in just one room to avoid heating the entire house, thus saving fuel.
