In the mid-term elections that took place, the Republicans have taken a clean sweep over the Democrats and given Obama nightmares. They have won elections for the veteran House in Indiana, Florida, Texas and Virginia.
What is worth noting is that they have even defeated the freshmen Democratic lawmakers. Surprisingly, people like Representative Rick Boucher of Virginia who has been incumbent for the past 14 years also lost the elections. Others to follow him were Democratic veteran, and in Florida, Representative Allen Boyd. In Texas, Representative Chet Edwards lost.
Texas is known to be the stronghold of Democrats since 1990. Some of the major casualties to the Obama administration included Representative Tom Perriello of Virginia, a Democrat and also a favorite in the running government.
Now looking at the performance, the Democrats are positive that they can take over the house. This should be a turnaround time for them after they were thrown out by Obama and his crew.
Democrats managed to get seats in Kentucky and North Carolina, but seemed very vulnerable. They were optimistic about the whole thing and said that the things will change good for them soon.
