Real estate regulator gets a new boss!Keith Manch, a senior manager at the Department of Internal Affairs, has been recently named as the new chief executive of the Real Estate Agents Authority.

It is to be mentioned here that Manch will be replacing Janet Mazenier as the new chief. It may be noted here that Janet Mazenier resigned in the month of June which was just months after the inception of the authority.

Real Estate Agents Authority board chair Kristy McDonald QC said on the appointment of Manch that the experience that he has in the government roles will be very helpful to the authority in dealing with several issue and as he has a sound understanding of consumer issues and the relationships between sellers, buyers and their real estate agents, it will be very encouraging for the industry.

According to the profile of his new job, he will be responsible for the various policy and operational regulatory functions.

For the record, Manch also has an advantage of working as a general manager for the Ministry of Consumer Affairs in the past and which will be beneficial for the authority as well.
