Stroke risk may be increased by Vitamin EAs per a new report by the BBC the consumption of vitamin E could possibly raise the risk of a certain kind of stroke. The report comes from the findings of a study which also says that among 1,250 people consuming vitamin E, one person has a chance of hemorrhagic stroke which a bleeding in the brain.

This study was conducted on a major scale in a very organized manner and found that the risk of this particular and rare stroke is increased by 22 percent in people who take vitamin E. The vitamin also decreased the risk of ischemic stroke which is caused by a blood clot inside the brain.

This means that one person out of every 476 people is prevented from ischemic stroke and one out of every 1,250 people taking vitamin E has an increased chance of hemorrhagic stroke.

The findings made the scientists reach the conclusion that people should be warned against widespread and over use of vitamin E which could prove to increase the risk of this rare kind of stroke.
