This is repeated second month in which electronic cards has rise strongly. However the increase in October was tracked by tax changes and also rises in fuel cut out.
Today the facts were shown by the Statistics New Zealand (SNZ) that last month there was a inured to 8.4 percent rise in costs on fuel through electronic card transactions (ECTs). Till December 2003 there was no such rise and it is considered as the largest monthly raise.
It was said by SNZ that there was the major decrease of ECT expenses on durable items, for example furniture, hardware and appliances. It declined to 6 percent and this was the biggest decline from the time when the chain began in October 2002.
In September and October the durables had risen 4.1 percent and there was a rise from 12.5 percent to 15 percent in GST respectively. It also is included in the ECT figures.
On the whole, there was a rise in value of ECTs in the both month respectively.
ECTs in the retail industries ascend 0.8 percent in October. From the previous month, September it rose to 1.7 percent. And there was rise in Non-retail transactions. It was 0.4 percent.
