One of the most popular names in its segment, the Australian printing company PMP Ltd has recently said that it will be closing the Warkworth printing plant soon. It is to be mentioned here that the plant announced by the company employs 120 people and the company has finalized its plan to announce a closure for the same by next year.
Experts are of a view that the company is investing in a huge new plant and distribution facility in south Auckland which is why it has decided to close to Warkworth plant.
Executive general manager New Zealand Peter Browne mentioned that the company is currently in final negotiations to get its hands on the blank canvas warehouse in south Auckland.
Moreover, the EGM also said that it will later be turned into a heat set printing plant and magazine and catalogue distribution facility.
It may be noted here that the company is planning to invest close to $19.5 million in the new site wherein its has a plan to employ close to 350 to 400 people. The company currently has five locations within the Great Auckland region.
