WHO says BPA is mostly removed by urinating

BPAAs per the information given by the World Health Organization, BPA or bisphenol-A, which is a chemical used in food containers and packaging material made of plastic, is usually removed through the urine and doesn't get collected in the body.

A team of 30 experts from Canada, Unites States and Europe reviewed most new studies on the effect of these chemicals on the health of people and said during a meeting in Ottawa that the quantities of BPA measured in urine was equal to the amount which was ingested through these chemicals.

They also found that the levels found in urine very low which means that the amount of BPA consumed does not stay or get stored in the body and is immediately removed through urine as per the WHO.

The team came to the conclusion: "Recent experimental and epidemiological studies found associations between low BPA exposure levels and some adverse health outcomes."

Finally the WHO said in a statement that till the time these links are confirmed, any steps taken towards safeguarding the public health would be premature.
