The public liability insurance holders have recently been informed that there is a requirement for some more significant improvement in safety standards for the manufacturing sector even though lately the number of deaths and injuries recorded are reduced.
Recent figures coming in from Health and Safety Executive (HSE) have shown us that between April 2009 and March 2010 the number of cases of injuries caused due to accidents have reduced by almost 11 percent which include severe conditions like broken bones and even amputations.
Still ahead almost 22 people have lost their lives in the manufacturing industry during the last one year in comparison to almost 33 percent during the last 5 years.
The head of manufacturing for the health body, Geoff Cox said, "We are encouraged that there are fewer deaths and injuries in manufacturing this year, but we cannot afford to become complacent."
He also said that the real rate of death and accident prone injuries in the manufacturing sector is still much more when compared to other workplace accidents.
