Kitchen advice came after flat fire from fire chiefs

In a recent incident of flat fire a mother and her baby were injured and were admitted to the hospital after their flat in Ramsey became smoke-logged last evening. The fire went on in the evening when on of the residents in the block of flats reported that he could smell something burning.

The fire was started due to an empty food pack which started to burn and smells bad after falling into the hob of a domestic cooker. The baby inhaled the smoke for quiet some time and has been kept under observation in the hospital in the children's ward.

After this incident the fire chiefs have reminded the residents to conduct tests on a weekly basis to make sure that their smoke alarms are in working condition and keep loose material like the food pack away from the cooking hobs to avoid any such accidents.

The fire fighters reached the spot and stayed there only for two hours and immediately rushed the mother and her baby to the hospitals for medical aid due to smoke inhalation.
